I have over 40 years of mutual fund investing experience, and I pride myself in being a high-value, low-cost, client-focused investment advisor. I am a fee-only investment representative—meaning that I operate my business based solely on the financial performance of my clients’ investments—not commissions or bonuses from buying and selling certain investments. Your goals are my goals, and it is my fiduciary duty to serve my client’s best interests. Your investments will best suit your objectives.
Selecting and maintaining an asset allocation: A mix of stock, bond, and other investments which has the highest chance of helping you reach your financial objectives.
Lower all investment costs: You get to keep more of the fruits of your investments.
Placing each investment in the best “site.” Each of your investments is owned in the right type of account to eliminate or defer income tax costs.
More than 90% of my practice is continuing assistance with investments. I charge ½% per year of the value of investments managed (not 1% as is customary). This includes end of quarter reporting, annual capital gain summaries, and, for no further charge, advice to help you solve, or begin to solve, any investment or financial question. The minimum amount of investments for this service is currently $100,000.
For individuals who wish to DIY, do it yourself, I provide advice by the hour, $150 per hour, no minimum time.
We can generally get a lot accomplished in an hour or an hour and a half. If you begin with advice by the hour and decide that you would rather have continuing investment management, some or all of the hourly charges may be rebated against investment management fees.
My clients have built or are building toward retirement. Some may also be helping their family construct a brighter future through assisting with the increasing costs of college education.
I appreciate that there are no certainties and no ultimate guarantees in the investments world, and determining whom to trust can feel difficult. Investing is very important, but it’s complicated. Investment “products,” concepts, and their taxation can feel like a constantly moving target. It’s easy to feel lost or fearful that you’re making the wrong decisions. I pride myself in helping my clients make the best decisions for their goals and life choices.
In many aspects of life, the stability of your professional relationships makes life easier, less stressful, and makes you more self-assured. I help my clients increase their confidence and lower the stress of their investment decisions. My clients trust me for my knowledge and experience.
My clients trust that I will be available to answer their questions, with their best financial interests in mind. My approach as a “fee-only” investment advisor representative places the financial and life goals of my clients first.
